Cerber427
Hello, So just as the tilte explains, I have multiple mods downloaded, with their requirements, and yet they don't work in-game. I have checked the Data Folder and everything seems to be in order, yet they don't work in-game. A few examples of the mods: -A Quality World Map with Roads -Apachii Skyhair -All Bijin NPC mods -Celtic Music -M'rissi's tail of trouble -Pandorable NPCs (all male mods) and more. This proves that it is not just a texture problem or something wrong with SKSE, its a generalized problem that touches a lot of mod types. It's not like nothing is working though, I do have a lot of working mods, but for some reason, a lot of them just straight-up don't. I am using SKSE 64, which is working perfectly, as well as the most recent version of Vortex. In my Vortex settings I have "deploy when enabled" on and I have the Hardlink deployment activated currently. What is strange as well is I was trying to download Lucien, but couldn't. The MCM Menu would not pop up and neither would he appear in-game, so I uninstalled it, reinstalled it, but manually this time and instead of clicking on my game icon, launched the game through Vortex. This time it worked, so I thought I found the solution, but when I tried this method with all of the mods listed above, they continued not working. I really cannot explain it to myself. My theory is that something is f*#@ing up in my download and/or during my deployment, but I can't figure it out. A good evening
anjenthedog
which mod manager are you using?

anjenthedog
do you have all of any required support files (SKSE64, address library, netscript framework, etc) installed? When did it stop working? Have you been installing mods even though things are already broken? If so, you may need to backpeddle severely to get back to where you need to be. Then reinstall only one by one, making sure to resolve any problems at the individual mod level before adding the next. You may or not be aware, but best practice is to install one mod (and its dependencies) at a time (dependencies first), then check to make sure the mod is working as adveristed in-game before moving to another installation. It's tedious but avoids these sorts of "nothing works" situations. Now, of course it's quite possible (and even likely) that just one of the mods you installed is causing all the issues. Unfortunately, I have no way of determining which one that mod would be though. And with the number of errors you're reporting, if it were me, I'd be inclined to start uninstalling in reverse order of installation << crucial, using *old* saves (from when the installed mod count was very low) until the game works. At that point I'd start opening newer saves and checking them for stable operation, including both play and ability to save and load) until I can't open a save. At this point, I'll have a starting point for a working save, a working game, and then I'd start reinstalling the mods, one by one, ensuring all dependencies are in place, and then checking the game operation after playing for a few minutes, if it works without fail, then create a new save, close game, clean save, install next mod, rinse and repeat until all my functional mods are reinstalled. Cerber427
I see. I've been considering doing that, surely, but as I've stated, the game runs perfectly fine, a lot of my mods work. Only some don't As for the required support files, I have them all. I have like tens of them at this point, so I don't think that's the issue. I'll see what I can do about everything, thanks for helping, even if you couldn't help me much. I understand I don't give a lot to go on and I am myself quite mesmerized by how everything is not working. A good day, I'll probably uninstall everything and try again. Thanks for the support Edited September 30, 2021 by Cerber427
Cerber427
Update: I have disabled everything with Vortex, and when the individual mods that I have that don't work are on, even alone, they still don't work Would I need to do the extra mile and uninstall everything completely, uninstall the game, completely and utterly and then go again? Cerber427
Also, I've checked that a lot of the mods that don't work don't even have requirements, not even SKSE. Literally just needs Skyrim Special Edition, to quote their requirements
anjenthedog
IDK, with that number of mods not working, something's simply not right. Personally speaking for me and my game, if there were five or more mods not working, and not producing their MCMs, I'd go the route of uninstalling and reinstalling as I noted above, rather than simply disabling. maybe someone else has a better idea. That's just what I'd do. I know it's not "the solution". can't be helped, I just don't have the insight into your game to see what's broken (nor am I a skyrim expert), so can only provide the answers I've used in the past to resolve ~similar issues, as plodding as they may be. Have you checked all your logs to see if they can provide any insight? I only use three of the five you list. Apache hair Bijin NPCs and the world map (the version I use is "vivid with stone roads"). they were all installed according to whatever direction (or not) that was provided by the authors and worked out of the box. (it's been a while so I can't recall the details).
