Riven1978
I buy the DLC for the content and ideas, it seems worth it to me, but im one person with a mod dream that requires their DLC. So you are paying for modding content? Well if people are willing to do that, then maybe people should donate to the modding groups and tell them what they want the game to be like. That would seem to be a better way to spend your money. :) Then you run into copyright legalities and the suing starts and who wins out? Beth cause they own the content. I will just continue to believe what my sig below states and be done with it, I would much rather help a fellow modder out then Bethesda which put out a somewhat decent world (somewhat decent because so many restrictions, unlike 1 and 2 which had far less) but tend to sux at the add-on content, they should just put out some OPALS of the new content or something and let the true modders take it from there. Grimmjow0006
After thinking about this. Oblivion mods were worth it, at least KotN, SI, and Horse Armor. Beth needs to make a huge city, maybe new york, los angeles, and transportation mod like motorcycles(I'm sure they could make some solid features for motorcycles) If they just made more cities with about as many side quest as DC has then I think those would be worth it. That would be all they need.
w00teh
A Shivering Isles equivalent expansion in Fallout 3 would probably sell better than these DLCs IMO, provided it was made well. SI in Oblivion was actually one of my favourite parts of Oblivion, it was just so unique and the quest line was rather intriguing, seeing as you are serving a Daedric Prince who is pretty much mad. I agree with you Grimm. A huge city addon would be nice, perhaps even expanding the landmass...Or perhaps a proper questline for more than the BOS (which is in Broken Steel), like the ability to join the Enclave if you're evil, or perhaps more factions that offer interesting quests (The Dark Brotherhood in Fallout 3 was probably my favourite vanilla quest line)
Noobsause
well last time I checked moders don't need money to produce the amassing mods that are on the net. why give money to moders who don't use the money for the mod why just pay for there lunch? also the dlc money pays for the next installment of the game. the only problem with the dlcs is that there only for gfwl once again the evil empire is discluding the ps3. Baelkin
well last time I checked moders don't need money to produce the amassing mods that are on the net. why give money to moders who don't use the money for the mod why just pay for there lunch? also the dlc money pays for the next installment of the game. the only problem with the dlcs is that there only for gfwl once again the evil empire is discluding the ps3. They don't need the money, but it'd certainly be a nice acknowledgement for your work to recieve donations. :) In any case, hobby-modders won't really be able to use the money from donations for their modding anyway unless they were looking to buy some new software to use in the process, or more powerful hardware to ease the model building process. I don't see anyone getting enough donations to actually make a living out of it, and what good is more money if it can't buy you more spare time to mod in and you already have the tools you need? As for the DLCs I don't think we get any less than what we pay for. Making them takes time and resources and considering the low price, we should probably be lucky they are even available yet. Most other game companies just release the main game and then later release a craptastic lacklustre expansion at 75-80% of the price of the original game. Noobsause
if some one needs a new program for there mod then thats a different story but other than that i don't see the point. yes i agree wen it comes to the dlcs we should all just be thankful for what we have and make the best of what we get
Spartan0536
again I see t he "official" releases as blank canvases that i can improve upon or use in my ides, they act as "inspirations" to my "visions", the nice VR sim in Operation Anchorage gave me a way to add a small story line and introduce my mod effectively into the Fallout 3 world, so the 9.99 that I paid for the DLC seems very well worth it, The CRI Mod effectively uses the same strategy as I am, by utilizing and modding a feature in Operation Anchorage and bringing it to the Fallout 3 world, I can also see that when the Pittsburgh DLC comes out that someone like me will get an idea and use some of their work to enhance theirs, as well as make you able to travel to distant cities, and from that DLC people will be able to remake their favorite cities like Los Angeles, New York, ect.... So you see the DLC is worth its weight in gold, its all in perspective. Howver I do think that Bethesda can od a better job in thier "DLC Campaign" however it sufficies for me and more people appreciate the mods us modders release and that makes us feel like what we do matters, as long as a company actively supports modding of thier games im going to buy the game indefinately due to the limitless ideas that can be written in these days due to released SDK's. dhellfox
even though i found OA kinda short i enjoyed it and as an added bonus that i needed it parts for my mod. the pitt im only going to get for the sake of something to do (not really interested in it) and the final one more interested in due to the fact you do some bos missions
Gafgar Adolis
Screw the Brotherhood (power armored boy scouts!) I want a bloody Enclave DLC. I'm tired of watching my favorite faction get relegated to the status of Villain By Default.
Grimmjow0006
I agree these recent DLC have been horrible. I heard that the decision to infect the water doesn't really change anything. So now I ask WTH, a big decisions doesn't do crap to the game really. Now I know there are some modders out there that can do the job right compared to beth. But the only problem I have is that there is never any speech and when there is it sounds different then the rest of the game. I know they used millions of dollars of equipment to get it to sound good but you just used a mic. I don't care much about that. Can't some people get others to do the speech for them? can't be that hard to ask the sexy neighbor chick or dude to say a few lines for you.
