Whenever i add a new mod that adds a custom texture/model something f*#@s up, some models are missind (custom) and custom textures dont appear, instead there is grey texture shifting to other crappy textures depending on from which side im looking at the item, i did not try with anything else than armors and weapons, and it happens ONLY when either model or texture is custom, doesnt happen to stat modded vanilla items. Any ideas whats going on? Oh and other mods work just fine.

EDIT

Ok i found ArchiveInvalidation mod, now there is a new problem, it keeps saying that i have no fallout 3 ini in fallout 3 folder so i checked on it and yeah i have no ini file, so what now? I dont even know what ini is.

the .ini is a settings file

does it give you the option to browse for the ini?

if you're using XP then its under:

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3

I know where it is, i foudn it, i have it under name Fallout_default, anyways now i got the startup crash reinstalles 3 times, and still same problem, first time after install screen goes purple and crash and later on its black and crash. Any ideas? And my comp config is good enaugh since it worked perfectly before i reinstalled windows, i also still have version 1.0 since patch isnt out for polish version yet.

i think i read that the purple screen at loading is when the slides are missing, other than that im afraid i dont really know what could be going on.

you said that you just reinstalled windows though.. perhaps you didnt update all your drivers and codecs.. i also found this on a site, maybe give it a try:

Problem #1 : Fallout 3 crashing / Fallout 3 crash to desktop (ctd) | Fallout 3 crashing at the start of the game

Solution : (from Bethesda website)

1. Click Start

2. Click “All Programs” (or just Programs, depending on the version of Windows, whether they’re using “classic,” etc.)

3. Go to the ffdshow folder.

4. Click “Audio decoder configuration.”

5. In the left hand pane, click “Info & debug.” This is the second entry in the list.

6. In the right hand pane, near the bottom, find a check box labelled “Don’t use ffdshow in:”

7. Check that box, and in the text box underneath (it lights up when you check the check box), add “fallout3.exe” (don’t include the quotes). If there is already something in that box, put a semi-colon ( ; ) after what’s already there, and fallout3.exe after that. Do NOT use spaces, since ffdshow will think that’s part of the filename. A valid entry would be “explorer.exe;fallout3.exe” (without quotes).

8. Finally, click “Ok” and start Fallout 3.

Least headache and trouble, is to reinstall your F3 game. the ini is in you folder called My Games in your My Doc's folder along with saved games and as far as saved games when you uninstall it will ask if you want the saved games removed also click no or yes depending on whether you want them or not.

Good Luck!
