I use an archive as a "mod" in Vortex and dump all source files that I need to compile my scripts but then always anything else to override this "mod" if there are ever conflicts. This allows me to uninstall mods yet keep the ability to compile. The safest way (the right way) is to actually go get the necessary scripts. I just downloaded BS Bruma for just one script lol. It was over 2GB. In a few cases where creation club content was necessary the mod author was cool enough to include the script from the CC mod.
