spinat
Great work first of all.... Your sniper armor looks cool but i think it would be really nice if you would make some sniper cloak http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs24/f/2007/317...r_by_McGibs.jpg http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c277/ili...picture01-8.jpg http://images.google.de/imgres?imgurl=http...ficial%26sa%3DG well great job keep it on!! Andragorn
Yes I thought the modular set could contain more sniper stuff. It is just hard to make a ghillie
Murchadh
Your armour is so far the closest thing to what I want/need. I especially love the idea of role-specific pauldrons. Right now you have a sniper version and a combat (?) version. What are the chances of you creating more specialized ones (say grenadier/heavy weapons specialist/medic/etc.) and include more ranks? The armour itself can stay the same, only the pauldrons (identifying rank and role) need to change with maybe one specific armour for the leader (the sarge / captain?) I LOVE the idea of behaving as if I have my own faction in the wastes and along with my faithful companions I'd love to be clothed appropriately ... your mod has that potential. Good work so far!! Andragorn
Nice to know someone noticed the paldrons.I was thinking about your comment. It sounds like a good idea even if I won't ever use them my self. I could make for example a grenadier with grenades, pioneer with mines and medic with a first aid kit etc. What would a heavy weapons dude have? Murchadh
Well I guess a heavy weapons expert would be playing with a minigun or ... well I am playing with a weapons extension mod and was planning to have that particular character use a belt fed machine gun of some sort. (what follows is just ideas of what I want to do and how your armour fits into it, not saying you should make things just for me ;) ) I am actually thinking of creating custom companions to place in the game world to use your armour. I am not sure the game would be able to work with a platoon sized companion list, but I was thinking a ten man team based on the structure of a WWII German Rifleman Gruppe, which consisted roughly of the following 1. an NCO [Leader (me)]2. Rifleman 3. Rifleman4. Rifleman5. Rifleman6. Rifleman7. Rifleman8. Machine gun team9. Machine gun team10. Machine gun team In the real world it took three people to work as a team to operate a machine gun, but in fallout this can be done obviously by one person so thus number 9 will become the sniper and number 10 the medic. (this all assumes the game engine can handle 9 companions, I have so far tried 6 with success). In case you make the Grenadier version I'd convert one of the riflemen into a grenadier/pioneer combo (not sure how useful a pioneer on his/her own would be) and another will possibly be converted into a Scout/stealth type using silenced weapons and knives (for that I could use your dark version of the regular Jaeger armour)... hmm I am also intending to use different coloured berets for the different classes. In our national army medics wear red, regular infantry green, armoured (in this case the heavy) black and so on.... Thanks for sharing, mate. You really are doing a good job!! Andragorn
Hey, what are you thinking about the current armor's stats? Does it have too high armor rating, is it too cheap, weight, should it be sold in less than max condition or is it balanced? Thanks for opinions
Murchadh
For my tastes (purely a personal opinion) I'd say your armour should be somewhere in the range of the "Ranger Armour". I compared the stats and they look similar Ranger JaegerWeight: 27 25Value: 430 500DR: 39 38/37Health: 1100 1000 So, I think that is pretty balanced. Of course, it would depend on if you go ahead with the modular sets (which I think is a BRILLIANT way of widening the scope of roles and I reckon it would go down a treat, people like that sort of thing). Speaking of which. I don't know scripting so I can't help you but there but, in the "Biped Object" list under objects there are a number of categories including "BodyAddOn" (1,2,3) and "Backpack", etc. Those might be what you are after...(in simplified form). The "BodyAddOns" are used in the game for underarmour decals ....
