This looks like a very promising mod. I'd like to offer help with level design and/or texturing.

 

PM me if you are interested, and feel free to check out my locations for reference. I've finished 3, and have a 4th in the pipes, so I do stay committed to a project. =;]

Great job on this mod, as I noted in my rating post there are some bug I've been running accross.

 

Bug 1,

Just playing around with the town I did the quick way to get villagers, often after I would get 2 or 3 they would start to get bugged and I wasn't able to communicate with them. I would try and reset them or whatever but it didn't work, I'd click on them to talk and they'd say "Yes?" and that's it, I can't click on anything or go any further with them so I have to reload a save point.

 

Bug 2,

Not entirely sure if this is mod related or what but I've never experienced it before so I'm guessing it is since it's only happening in one spot. Basically, when I pick up villagers off that boat after I get 4 and I go back for more my screen goes black, I can see the HUD and Pipboy if I open it but everything else is blacked out and causes me to have to reload a save point but most often I have to reload the entire game to fix it cause it will cause even my save points to black out.

 

Bug 3,

I'm not really sure if you would classify this as a bug but maybe a FYI, I tried to set my town up near a location already in the Wasteland, a barn silo etc. If I set my stuff to close to the barn or inside they will not appear and seem to be underneath it. After saving and reloading sometimes they'd appear.

 

Also, inregards to the water well, I think it'd be nice to have the bottles reuse instead of drink and disappear. And on that note I notied the well only allows/accepts Nukacola or Soda bottles, not regular empty bottles.

 

Great mod overall, will post more as I keep playing it. I'm hooked on it lol

I had included this with my rating of the file. I'll post whatever else comes to mind in this thread.

 

Idea:

 

- Similar to the Megaton and Tenpenny homes, allow us to choose a "theme" for the settlement (Pre-War, Shanty, Romanesque, etc). OR, in RTS fashion, allow us to upgrade certain objects (e.g., the wooden Out House can be upgraded to one of those circular Emergency Shelters modded to appear like a Porter-Potty...which apparently has been accomplished by the Valhalla project - http://www.project-valhalla.org/images/a/a2/Portashelter.jpg

Ok, here's my find on Bug 4,

 

After building my town up with a silo, 8 people, trader, etc. I loaded up on Brahmin. I collected up 4 Brahmin and rounded them up in my pen, then sealed them up and let them go to work chowing down on the wasteland. After about 1 minute of having all 4 of them in my town I started to lag BAD, almost to the point of unplayable. I have yet to clear some of them out of the town to see if maybe it is infact the amount of Brahmin causing it, my guess is the overload of munching sound effects in one small area on top of the town and other NPC's. Not sure exacally how this could be corrected other then having no more then 2 or 3 Brahmin at a time in town.

 

I know this sounds like a hardware performance issue but I can say I highly doubt it seeing as I'm running dual SLI cards and 2 gigs ram

If you set up your town and then want to move it, is that possible? Because I set up mine by wheaton armory and apparently the raiders like to kill my villagers >:(

Thanx for suggestion / idea.

I have to solve this (upgrades) in future anyway, I am not sure which way I will choose at the end, still.

This option was involved by origin and still is in mod, but is diabled :(
