Magic will not Regen with Enchantments only with potions

I've done some basic hunt and peck looking the usual suspects and am coming up empty.

 

The problem is exactly as stated.

At a guess? You've contracted an illness that negatively impacts your magicka. There are, afaik, one or two diseases that can cause that hangup of magic casting. (that is, they interfere with magica regen)

That's what I thought ... and cleaned magic effects on me and poisons and diseases.

 

I just restarted the game thinking it might be two mods totally unrelated, based on my P.I.T.A. method and will see.

you're welcome, and yeah I'm curious if it came back as a disease. I've been unable to shout, use magic (brain rot afaik) and to move (rock joint, maybe others) due to various diseases.

 

I usually get a hint from NPCs "Are you feeling ok?" "Excuse me, but you don't look so good", etc, so I can quaff a potion or cast a cure spell, but if you're out in the wild for a while (away from friendly NPCs) you may not notice you contracted something before it begins to compromise your play badly enough to stop you dead in one or another action.

I found the problem - An Unenchanted armor mod was the issue. I did not realize they had updated and I had a very old ( odd ) version of it.
