Seattleite
I would very much like to see a mod that adds in daedra for summon and possibly random encounters, and especially one the creator would allow me to use resources from in my own mod. The six kinds of daedra present in Skyrim just aren't enough for me, and I'm certain plenty of others feel the same. Daedra I'm particularly interested in: Scamps:Weak little daedra that used to be the most common daedra around. I don't like their absence in Skyrim when they were so common in previous titles. I'm sure I can give them something to make up for the lack of normal weapon resistance in-game. Clannfear:Same reasons as scamps, they used to be fairly common and although they weren't really fun to fight they certainly were impressive. I don't much care for reflect damage, but I'm sure a small amount (say, 5%) wouldn't be a terrible idea and a considerable armour rating would make sense for them. Spider daedra and spiderlings:These were just about my favourite daedra in Oblivion and especially in my Oblivion mod. Whichever variant on their appearance the artist would like to do is fine by me. There are a lot of spider daedra retextures on the Oblivion nexus, and if the artist wants to base it off one of them or come up with their own rather than remake the ugly vanilla Oblivion texture I'm all for it. As for the little spiderlings, I'd prefer their model be a bit different, more child-like. Tiny, a bit stocky, big head, no breasts. But if not, that's fine. Xivilai:I can make the xivilai myself by modifying a dremora, but a xivilai outfit for them would be nice. Ogrim:Big, ugly, slow, but tough and mighty regenerating melee opponents. At least in Skyrim, they can't be immune to normal weapons. Daedroth:Either the lumbering, bulky titan of Oblivion or the mighty spellcasting crocodile of Morrowind will do, but these large casters would be interesting in a game that allows proper firebreathing enemies and spellcasting creatures. Winged twilight:Fast, powerful, highly resistant to magic and I'm sure with the updated graphics they'll be very attractive. If things go well, they might actually be able to fly in Skyrim. Aureal, mazken:I can make the aureal and mazken myself as well, but I cannot make their armour or weapons and somebody else would have to do that. (Amber and madness would also be nice, but not really required, to make this addition more complete.) Knight of order:Sure, Jyggalag is off swimming in the waters, but there's no reason his servants cannot be summoned. This would be a nice summon. Resistant to magic and immune to poison, well armoured and wielding a powerful sword. A unique model would be nice, but provided a full crystal sword and suit of armour I can do the rest, even though it won't be as good. Elytra:Do I know that these are daedra? No, but it seems likely all things considered. Where in the hell would mortal wildlife come from in the Shivering Isles? Regardless, I liked these old enemies to at least some extent, and an armoured creature daedra with both melee and ranged spellcasting ability that comes in numbers could make for an interesting opponent. Baliwog:May or may not be a daedra, probably is, and would be a decent enemy to add. Grummites:These creatures and their weapons would both be great. I can definitely find a way to make their numbers, unique weapons, fondness of poison and regeneration in water into a unique combat style. And since they lacked two-handed weapons in Oblivion, a spear or something would probably be a good idea. Hunger:While I remember these mostly from the Shivering Isles, but I'm sure some of you know them better from Morrowind. Stat absorption is one thing, but I'm sure in my mod I can let their attacks ignore half of enemy armour and possibly even temporarily penalize armour with spells to compensate for the lack of disintegrate armour effects in-game. Scalon:Possibly not a daedra, but they were fairly frightening the first time I fought them and I'd like to recapture that. Slow and lumbering creatures until the moment they get close, then suddenly lightning fast. I could definitely do with that. Flesh atronach:An excellent creature to add for summons, with their physical power, self-healing, regeneration and rapid attacks. Gnarl:Finally, the last entry here and the last creature that might not actually be a daedra, the gnarl is a potent creature that when struck with one form of magic becomes resistant to it. In Skyrim, I can imagine them actually changing colour to show which they are currently resisting, although of course they become weaker to other elements during this time. Mostly a melee combatant, but in Oblivion they had a silence spell. While in Skyrim that's not possible, magicka damaging/suppressing/absorbing spells aren't a big stretch. Vestige3456
I like this idea but im no modder. :(
faffman
I'm also no modder, but I can say that this will be difficult, as it would probably require new skeletons. Just retexturing existing creatures could work for some of them, but certainly not all.
DivyItDown
I know this is an old topic but yeah...summoning a few elemental daedra and a dremora or two is not really much interest for the master conjurer :\ Would love to know of any implementations of any of the above!!
