LE A wildly original follower, made by me and...?

Hi, I'm Nate. IRL, I'm a writer/comedian/actor, depending on what I'm working on at the moment. I love Skyrim, and I may have spent more time toying with mods for it than actually playing. So that's me.

 

I've designed a follower that I truly think is different than anything else out there (and I've tried just about everything there is to try, over the course of hundreds of hours).

 

I know how to make a basic NPC with Skyrim NPC editor, insofar as visuals. I am writing the script, and have extensive acting experience. What I need is a skilled co-creator who can help with the technical bits.

 

The proposed follower would be a scribe (most likely) who travels with the Dragonborn in order to chronicle his exploits.

He's just... not a particularly honest scribe.

 

One would be able to hear him mumbling self narration, complaining when things are going badly, and generally blaming anyone around him for whatever misfortune he may be experiencing. It won't be long before it becomes apparent to the Dragonborn why this scribe has not found other gainful employment.

 

The character's evolution would take him from whiny wannabe con-artist, to razor-witted right hand of the most important person in Skyrim.

 

Along the way, he'll express his opinions on

getting an appropriate share of loot,

artistic license in his scribing,

and the potential that he is, in fact, Mudcrabborn.

 

This will be a mod that is entirely lore friendly. No meme or pop culture references, just a genuinely likable but notoriously incompetent echo to add a bit of vocal trepidation to your adventures diving into yet another pit full of angry trolls.

I would be interested in this. I am very skilled in coding and know my way around the creation kit. I can implement quite easily all the key features you have listed and can brainstorm other technical aspects. An example of a Skyrim mod I have created: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35986/? . I have also created many mods and scripted followers that I haven't bothered to release as they were only for experimentation purposes. I also produce music so therefore I can do any sound editing as well if necessary.
