aaronrod
Hey guys, i found a solution.Follow these steps:1- Just cut the "Skyrim" folder.2- Soon after, paste on the desktop.3- Then activate the patch.4- Check that a new folder where the patch is was created.5- Paste the folder "Skyrim" in place.6- and are ready to play. I hope this helps! Reverence xD
Gameriuxlt
I managed to fix it by using the command prompt. It's a permissions issue that cannot be bypassed right-click run as admin, since for whatever reason windows won't allow you to do that with .jar files. Step-by-step: 1. Open command prompt as administrator (right-click, run as administrator). 2. Type this into the command prompt exactly: CD /d C:\*86*\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch3. That should have changed your current command prompt directory to the .jar file's directory. Now simply type: java -jar "Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar"4. Press enter and you should get the usual Dual Sheath Redux Patcher opening up and things will proceed as normal. If for some reason the patcher doesn't finish properly and you get the same access denied error, be sure to double check that you opened the command prompt as administrator and have permissions to do so. You're lifesaver thank you so much for posting how you solved instead of just informing that you solved it, if not for you i can't even imagine how much longer i would've spent time on searching for solution.
