TheGiantChip
I managed to fix it by using the command prompt. It's a permissions issue that cannot be bypassed right-click run as admin, since for whatever reason windows won't allow you to do that with .jar files. Step-by-step: 1. Open command prompt as administrator (right-click, run as administrator). 2. Type this into the command prompt exactly: CD /d C:\*86*\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch3. That should have changed your current command prompt directory to the .jar file's directory. Now simply type: java -jar "Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar"4. Press enter and you should get the usual Dual Sheath Redux Patcher opening up and things will proceed as normal. If for some reason the patcher doesn't finish properly and you get the same access denied error, be sure to double check that you opened the command prompt as administrator and have permissions to do so. This worked. Thanks!!

JSHOOTER007
You may need to move your installation from Program Files so that UAC doesn't block. Edited December 16, 2018 by JSHOOTER007

(Old post, I know) Azzbazz I have the same directory as you. When you type the URL you need to use this directory instead of typing Program Files (86), not sure why. Also to Delta Wulf, thank you this is the only forum I've been able to find with a solution, definitely copying this down for future reference. Putni89
Necroing this thread in hopes I can help a few people out there. I tried all of the above things, nothing worked. Then I started thinking, okay, I have given myself administrator access on just about every damn folder, but that's not my problem, is it? My problem is that for whatever reason the system automatically tries to open this .jar file (the patcher) with WinRar. Why the hell would it try to do that? I had the latest Java installed, I tried the Command Prompt solution, I tried running it manually from the Mod Organizer folder, nothing worked. So I went back manually to the folder where the patcher is located (for Mod Organizer users it's C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Skyrim\mods\Dual Sheath Redux\SkyProc Patchers\Dual Sheath Redux Patch). Here is the Dual Sheath Redux Patch.jar. And (at least for me, and for many here if I've read correctly) it appeared with the WinRar icon. So I right-clicked on the file, then went into Properties. On the General tab (or whatever it's called in English), right below the name of the file is a subspace called "Type of File: Executable Jar File (.jar)". And below that is "Opens with: WinRar Archiver" - at least it was like that for me. On the right side of this line is the button "Change." Click it. Choose "Java TM Platform SE binary". When I did this, and then went back to the Mod Organizer, I could finally add the file as a Java executable and it patched for me! Hope this helps for those of you who never got around to figuring it out!
