Need Tips About NiAlpha Property

Recommended Posts

After attached a nialpha property node to the hair, the hair becomes totally invisible in game, even tried setting threshold to zero.

it is good in nifskope preview.and it is good after removed the nialpha node but that is not the expected effect.

Any suggestion is grateful.

Hmm, I was pretty sure I was helping you in the Outfit Studio discord server when you stopped answering..

Now that I see your nif settings several settings are incorrect;

- change Skyrim Shader Type to Hair Tint

- in Shader Flags 1 add the options Vertex_Alpha and Hair_Soft_Lighting

- in Shader Flags 2 add the option Assume_Shadowmask

Make sure your NiAlphaProperty has both Enable Blending and Enable Testing ticked.

In your BSDynamicTriShape have the option Full Precision enabled (in Vertex Desc field).

Also ensure you have a correct Skin Partition of SBP_31_Hair in both the nif and in the CK.

If none of that helps it would be easier to see the actual nif file as there could be other issues such as rigging in play here.

Hi, I didn't know about NiAlpha Property much, but I think after changing Skyrim Shader Type, It will back to normal. I was reading about the dissertation writer, My nephew needs their help t complete his project work. And ask me to help him with it. So I was looking for it on google and saw your post. I will try to find more about it, And then let you know.
