This is a companion thread for development of three mods extending game play beyond the Independent, NCR and House game endings. The requests, discussions, plots, etc are in the "An independent New Vegas mod" within the requests forum. This thread is for actual development, file and progress updates.

 

Fellow modders and space time reality shapers could you guys and gals do me a favor? If the mod appeals to you and you want to comment could you do so in the An independent New Vegas mod? I want to keep this one clean and uncluttered for development.

VivaNV beta 1.0 It does all the other stuff listed previously but also clears up all battle conditions (except some audio & the weird flame effect across the sky of the fort) for the fort , as well as opening it up fully (no more t-port zones and doors). Please take a run at it and let me know what bugs I need to fix. I only have the independent ending to test it on. Make a clean save before loading the mod. You will want to revert back to that clean save after testing the mod and uninstalling it. I'll be experimenting with incremental changes (adding quests and what have you) to the Independent version and if it works well you shouldn't have to worry about uninstalling the mod later in the dev process.

VivaNV beta 1.01 finishes legate camp, probably last beta before forking into seperate Independent, NCR and House mods.


Marilyn beta 1.0 esp and bsa
Marilyn beta 1.02 esp update only

Marilyn beta 1.03 esp only, fixes robotics expert perk being removed if the player had the perk prior to firing Marilyn.
Marilyn beta 1.04 esp only, fixes conditions on two dialog topics

NCR visitor center home beta 1.01 esp and bsa

Hoover Dam

1) All Versions - Van Buren inspired town on the exterior in all versions - little boat there for exploration missions, trade missions with crimson caravan, a hell of a lot of new merchants and mini quests

2) NCR Version - Hoover Dam Office Sections become an NCR HQ, NCR missions into Arizona and down the Colorado River, NCR Troops have a larger presence on the exterior/town of the Dam, NCR sandcrete terrain buildings and Fallout 2 Gun Turrets

3) House Version - Office Sections largely empty :sad: Securitrons have a presence on the exterior/town of the Dam

4) Independent Version - (up to the player; can mix and match the above) extra trade missions - player can convince the locals to support a New Vegas militia outpost for trade purposes

 

Nipton (hearing suggestions)

1) All Versions - clean up the town and put out the fires, put some settlers there

2) Independent Version - player can rebuild the town

 

Mojave Outpost

1) All Versions - mega rebuild with the Sandcrete building set and Fallout 2 Gun Turrets

2) NCR Version - many more missions here (that goes without saying)

 

Black Mountain

1) All Versions - reopen the facility for the players faction of choice

 

Crimson Caravan HQ

1) All Versions - rebuilt as a small NCR Fort

2) NCR Version - many more missions here

 

New Vegas City

1) House Version - gradual high tech rebuild as all Houses missions (as yet undiscussed) progress

2) NCR Version - larger NCR presence, minor resculpting of Vegas and Freeside with NCR flags etc

3) Independent Version - totally up to the player; able to build new businesses and conduct trade missions etc

I can't edit your posts and I want to be able to change everything in the thread. Here we are! Sorry about posting in the other thread, wasn't exactly clear on what you meant. Anyway, how's the progress with a workable .esp coming along? Anything I can do to help?
