TristanGray
I run a simple self-made mod which adds a single interior cell in Windhelm Gray Quarter. Then, I thought I'll add a second one (to the same mod, not a new one), accessible in another place in the Gray Quarter. But whenever I load the game and try to enter that new cell, I get a short loading screen and the game crashes. At first I tried the simplest troubleshooting - strip the cell of everything one by one until I find what's causing it. But even when it's down to just the door marker, the door itself, navmesh for the marker and a single piece of static (the floor) I still get CTD when I try to enter it. On a new game however, it works just fine.Is that normal? Do you have to start a new game when you add something like a new cell mid-playthrough? I noticed I can make any and all changes to a cell that was already present when I started a new game, but for some reason adding a new cell mid-playthrough is a big no-no for the game. Sphered
To test, remove any edits you did to the world and keep the cell. Port there via script or perhaps COC command upon loading an existing save, and see if the issue magically goes away. It may be something you are doing to the (what I assume you also created) door area to enter said cell that may be causing an issue. Navmesh isnt my speciality otherwise, but thats a quick way to rule out the actual cell being the problem

Yes, porting there via coc worked just fine, and the cell loaded properly. But... then I noticed that it's not just my cell that crashes, but entering ANY interior cell gives me a ctd. Which renders the title of this thread redundant. So I'm currently in that bag of snakes trying to solve it. It's not my mod (disabled it and it still happens), can't be my load order either since I changed nothing as of late and it's the first time this ever happened. It's also happening on just one save, so if anything I can just roll back a bit before the bug. Anyway, thanks a bunch for the help.
agerweb
In general when you are working on a mod you should test it in game with only your mod and whatever DLC and other mods you need for it to actually run. Certainly don't test it with you entire load order until you have finished otherwise you will have no idea whether you mod is bugged or its just a mod conflict with something in your load order.
