I'm about to give up modding for FO3, it takes WAY to much digging, research, more digging, posting on forums, more digging, and hair pulling to do the simplest thing because there isn't enough documentation of how stuff works for noobs to even get started. /rant over I wanted to add repair kits that could be sold by venders. The cost would be reasonable, the main purpose would be so you don't have to go find another Scoped .44, etc. I noticed in the "Repaired By" dropdown list you can select Alcholic beverage. I tried it, it works!!! I wanted to use something that looked like a box a repair kit might actually come in, so for starters I tried the nuka cola truck. No dice. Why can I use an "Ingestible" but not a "static" or "misc" to repair a pistol? How the heck does it decide how effective the repair is? Also in researching this issue I discovered that your "Repair Skill" value is not equal to your maximum result. The maximum condition you can repair an item to is: 40 + (Repair/10) * 6, so with a Repair skill of 50 you can actually return your item to 70%.
