Zorkel
So my fallout 3 game has been plagued with massive issues which I have to quite large extent been able to iron out, except for one last major issue. I use a few radio stations and most work quite well except for radio active channel extender. When I play songs the song will not quite stutter but kinda get stuck on some kind of repeat, when it skipsto next song I get some weird blip/bleep sounds and it reverts back a few seconds. Sort of like a poorlyscratched cd your trying to play. And I'm not sure how to fix it or if it's part of the radio stuttering bug I have been plagued with. I did have issues with all radios stutter when playing music, and I believe I have managed to get rid of it.At least conelrad, gnr doesn't appear to have any issues at all. As for the rest of my fallout 3 experience? Can't say so much about it, just installed it a few days ago and did a decently heavy job modding it, andtrying to iron out all issues. But it do seems fairly stable except for that sound crap issue. I have no idea what I have done so far to fix it, so many different changes here and there... I did download k-lite codec pack (basic edition)Extended the sound cache to 6mbAnd countless different settings combinations in the sound/hardware tab. pkleiss
From my personal ancient common solutions file, I give you this: Audio Stutter (helps with FPS too)1) Download Installed Codecs here:http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Codec-Packs-Video-Codecs/InstalledCodec.shtml2) Download and install k-lite codec pack (basic) here:http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm3) run the InstalledCodec.exe4) Disable all Codecs (Ctrl + A to select all, then disable all)5) Sort by Type: Select all video codecs and enable them6) Sort by company: Select all Microsoft Corporation Codecs and enable them7) Additionally, enable all of these two company's codecs: Fraunhofer Institut Integrierte Schaltungen IIS & Sipro Lab Telecom Inc. Test your game I see you've done some of these already, but I can tell you that this solution solved the radio stutter issue for me (and many others) once and for all, but many years ago. Aonghus
There's also a trick to try from the Tweak Guides: http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html. Look at Page 10 under the section Audio.

Not to sound ungrateful but that caused me a major headache and a fun problem to figure out.Somewhere a long it caused fallout 3 to crash when I saved. And made my sound worse. So I did a system restore prior to installing the codec pack and managed to get the sound working quite well. But I do fear I have wrong mods and load order compared to my save as it still crash when I save. Gotta love head aches and problem solving, thought my sound is great but on a current unusable game. :P I solved the sound issue by installing k-lite media codec pack with lav as recommended flavor, and increased the sound cache to 8MB. Cheers.
