morrowind1979
Just recently got Shadowrun Returns and was pleasantly surprised to see a Nexus site for it. Was wondering if its possible to create new/custom races to play as and is so how would you do it using the editor?
HangmansJoke78
The "Races" in the Shadowrun Universe are Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Orks and Trolls as playable Charakters. There are also Dragons, but they are mainly Antagonists. There are also Wyrms.. but the Wyrm is a Druid Animal Totem. I am familiar with Shadowrun since... hmm.. 1992 I belive. There are no other Races in Shadowrun as far as I remember.
morrowind1979
I already know what the default races are my question is is it possible to create totally new custom races with the shadowrun returns editor
VagabondElf
Short answer? No. The editor doesn't let you change gameplay, stats or use new character models, all of which would be needed for a truly "new" race.

thephileas
If I remember well, the 1st edition with 'Paranormal animals of north America' gives rules to use many awakened creatures as played characters. Other offiicial books would as well suggest new races or variants on existing races as PC.As for the game, we may hope future extensions will include such rules. Shadowrun is wide and rich with background, open to intrigues in many fields, it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone since Mount Fuji's first dragon sight, a long time ago ^^
