modding trouble

All you need to do is put any .esp and .ba2 (and or textures etc.) file into your ..\fallout 4\Data folder, start the game, go to mods, go to load order, check the mod as active and Esc. back to the main menu.

Load/start your game and enjoy the mod.

 

This should cover 99% of all mods you have. There are a few other types of course, like ENB's, load accelerators, F4SE, etc. which have their own special way to install.
