TheBurningWarrior
A problem has been haunting laptop users of Bethesda games since at least Fallout 3 if not earlier, and has persisted through Fallout 4, SSE, and beyond: trackpad scrolling. Countless threads exist detailing the problem, and so far there is no solution more satisfactory than disabling scrolling altogether on a systemwide level, or else getting an external mouse. I decided to check again today to see if we have made any progress, but alas, google has found no solutions have since cropped up. I now turn to the modding community with tears in my eyes: Please, I beg of you, find a way to fix it so that laptop trackpads/touchpads can scroll through lists or zoom without infinitely and permanently scrolling or zooming in/out as fast as it can in whatever direction you last tried to scroll. The only way I know to stop it is to quit the game. On the technical side I'm told (and have no first hand knowledge) that the problem is rooted in there being some sort of virtual button with a zero position and positive/negative positions, and theoretically if you timed a scroll just right and just far enough, it might be possible to return it to zero and stop the perma scroll, but I've had no luck with that so far. As a stretch goal, it would be cool if we could use the touchpad pinch style zooming or configure such things with MCM, but at the end of the day it would be a legendary feat if basic scrolling were fixed. Thank you all for your time and consideration. Edited November 7, 2021 by TheBurningWarrior
