psyflame
OSX actually comes with bsdiff preinstalled as part of Apple's initiative to support open-source, so I have assumed that it's at the default location in the script I supplied (/usr/bin/bsdiff if you're reading this and wondering.) As for offsets, I will record any I discover that are not included on that page. The OSX steam version offset for the DGC line is at around 0x1E7E5A0. As for the xcomgame.upk hash check disabling patch, the relevant lines are in the Hashes.sha file I mentioned earlier at 0x00D0-0x0120.
dubiousintent
when I edited my Steam version on my old mac I found that it has the UTF32 Little-Endian format of the Mac App Store version but was at a different offset. I planed to update the wiki but was unable to edit the page (bit defender browser plugin issues)Just put it how you want it here and I'll copy it into the Wiki for you. A statement explicitly permitting that would be nice to keep the admins (and lawyers, mustn't forget them) happy. (Forum posts are copyrighted to the author, unlike Wiki entries, under the terms for each venue.) Would you please clarify in that update if you mean it was Little-Endian (Intel convention) only on your old Mac, whereas it wasn't on another machine? Or did you mean some Mac versions of the game (i.e. App Store) are in one format while the opposite in others. In which case, given that is usually a hardware based choice, I imagine someone would appreciate knowing which version was which format, and how to translate the formats. Definitely something to expand upon in the Wiki, as it's not a usual concern for the typical player. Do you think simply pointing to this Wiki article will suffice? -Dubious-
