wildmagicrose87
I'd be happy to move this if it's in the wrong forum, but I'm ready to tear my hair out. I'm having severe issues attempting to install mods using Wrye Bash via the Installers tab. With certain mods, Bash throws this error: Wrye Bash stdout/stderr: Traceback (most recent call last): File "bash\balt.pyo", line 1773, in __Execute File "bash\basher\installer_links.pyo", line 586, in Execute File "bash\basher\installer_links.pyo", line 569, in _try_installer File "bash\balt.pyo", line 825, in _conversation_wrapper File "bash\basher\installer_links.pyo", line 209, in Execute File "bash\basher\gui_fomod.pyo", line 71, in __init__ File "bash\fomod.pyo", line 304, in __init__ File "xml\etree\ElementTree.pyo", line 1182, in parse File "xml\etree\ElementTree.pyo", line 656, in parse File "xml\etree\ElementTree.pyo", line 1659, in feed File "xml\etree\ElementTree.pyo", line 1523, in _raiseerrorxml.etree.ElementTree.ParseError: encoding specified in XML declaration is incorrect: line 1, column 30 I am unsure how to go about fixing this, and worse, it is steadily but randomly affecting more of my mods, which have worked fine before. I currently have no mods installed. I've tried reinstalling Wrye Bash, reinstalling Skyrim, and redownloading the affected mods, but there has been no improvement. Can anyone give me any ideas? I currently have no mods installed.
wfandrews
GamerPoets has a Wrye Bash mod installation video on YouTube. While it is a couple of years old it should still be relevant. Google it and you will get a link to it. Also if you google something like "Wrye Bash tutorial" you will get a number of links which should help you. Google is your friend.
