Fabodocious
In order to preserve my mods I wanted to rollback the Skyrim AE update back from 1.6.318.0 to 1.5.97. The game loaded up fine as well as my mods, however now I'm currently having a problem where I cannot move my character at all after rollback. I cannot use WASD to move, Sneak, draw weapon or even open any menus with esc, tab or J. I am however, able to attack, open console commands and press all they hotkeys from my mods which work. I then plugged in a gamepad and found out that all the controls actually work with a xbox 360 controller, along with all my mods and hotkeys on the keyboard? I've tried:Reloading past saveDeleting and remaking .ini filesDisabling gamepad controls (both in-game and .ini files)Verifying integrity of the game files on steam (Doesn't work since it will update the game again)Running GenerateFNISforUserssFor the time being I guess the gamepad works but I'd much rather play with the keyboard. I suppose another possible solution would be to reinstall the game completely, however I'm not willing to have to set up all my mods again. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, would love to know if there is a solution.
Derethim
I have the same issue. Tried disabling the steam overlay and alt-tabbing as well. Nothing.I'm using a keyboard and a mouse and the mouse is working, but the keyboard is unresponsive. Everything else seems to be fine.

cubbybuddy
Exact same problem here. Couldn't even get the game to open until I used the BestOfBothWorldsPatches mod. Now my keyboard is unresponsive. I thought ten years would have made me safe from a STEAM update. Had the most stable modded game and was having a great time. BOOM! GONE! Well, back to Fallout 4 until someone smarter than me figures it out.

Nogakaze
Hey! I had the EXACT same issue and I managed to fix it. Turns out, when rolling back your version, the startmenu.swf file is missing. I am not exactly sure why it messes with controls or anything but, all you need to do is install something that edits the Main menu.Download this mod and it hopefully should fix your problem. :smile:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/26680
cubbybuddy
Crutis17 is that guy that's smarter than me. Was having to wait for the unwanted Bethesda connection that came with the update to time out, each time I tested something and that is gone. Now I can start accessing the damage. Many thanks.
