Tilarium
Hello boys and girls. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but after 10 years it looks like Bethesda might have gotten me to buy Skyrim again.... And after, not sure how many years, I'm thinking of playing Skyrim again. Obviously, this is all due to the anniversary edition. $20 isn't to bad and as I've only ever bought the survival mode creation club content in the past, getting it all for that $20 is a good deal. What mods would people recommend? To give an idea of how long it's been since I've played. I only ever play with mods and I've got no mods for the Special Edition. Not sure what's available. What's updated. What would be needed with the anniversary edition. About to head out for some appointments and will peruse the mods when I get back but hoping to get some suggestions of what to get and use. One thing I really want is an alternate start so I'm not just the same ol' prisoner as so many times before. Not sure if there are any, but hope there is. Anyway. Thanks for reading and thanks for any thoughts, suggestions, and ideas.
primem0ver
I hate to say this but for someone who doesn't like to play without mods, you picked the worst possible time to buy for Nexus mods.... Bethesda creation club mods might be quicker to get access to since CC was the target of changes and I suspect CC changes were under way before release. However, many mods here will probably take a significant amount of time to catch up. SKSE for SSE wasn't available for around 2 years after release. Of course part of that was due to the change from a 32 bit game to a 64 bit game which hasn't happened here. Still, it wouldn't surprise me if an update requires at least 6 months. On top of that, a CK update release will probably be required for AE. In addition, people like me may or may not ever update their mods because people are getting sick of Bethesda's antics. The affect that this release would have on mods has been under discussion for months now and much of it has been negative. So far the "additions" to the update aren't worth it for me. In fact, I turned off updates to make sure I wouldn't get the update (before it was known it would cost). Fishing is the only thing so far that appeals to me but fishing mods have been around since LE. RIght now there is the CC Fishing addition as well as Skyrim Fishing SE. To address one mod you mentioned specifically: Alternate Start: Live another Life has been available since the original skyrim in 2012. I am guessing this mod will be available around a month after the CK is made available.
