Is there a leveling mod that...

Note: Don't have Oblivion for PC yet, and last time I played was over a year ago on the 360. So sorry if I'm not very understandable for whatever reason.

Ok, so is there a leveling mod that, say, makes it so you can only get to a certain level in "minor" skills? I hated how you can be good at everything. Also, if there is one, is it compatible with OOO? If there isn't one, is there another leveling mod that makes it so you can't be good at everything (but maybe in a different way)? And is that compatible with OOO?

Also, why I'm here, I might as well ask: does OOO stop the "NPCs level with you" problem (I call it a problem)? And does it feel like something the developers would make (as in a very high quality mod) or does it actually feel like just a mod? Thanks in advance.

I'm not really certain what you are asking for-- a mod that limits how good you can get in your minor skills? Haven't seen one. If you don't want to be an expert at everything, then don't train everything. Don't stand under a bridge jumping up and down to push your athletics if you don't want to, just play the game like an alternate life.

I know a guy who loves to create uber characters that are basicly bulletproof from really early on. Limits the fun for me, but I do like to make the most of my early levels so I can get the max skill bumps possible.

As to how mods 'feel', the whole point is that they improve the game. Some of the add on geography may not be up to par, but the body and item replacers 'feel' better than original-- that's the whole point. It lets the players create the game that the company should have given us in the first place.

OOO still keeps leveled spawns in most areas, but does a bit better in fixing the system. Basically, areas along roads and earlier places still have mostly lower spawns, while more remote places have stronger stuff even at low level, but as you level, you will still notice more stronger things. Most of the quest dungeons are untouched, but many of the random dungeons only feature strong stuff. Essentially, it's a mix of leveled spawns with strong stuff for those who wander around too much too early. OOO also adds more variations of equipment, and adjusts when they appear, making it to where you need to be level 40 or so before any of the really high end stuff starts showing up. Leveled spawns aren't the problem so much as how Bethsoft made use of them, rather than making different variations of the same thing with different strengths, they replaced one for another, so rats with wolves, wolves with bears, bears with spriggans, and made things like bandits able to wear full sets of high end gear. OOO fixes that aspect. Frans, another overhaul mod makes most spawns static, makes hard stuff appear everywhere, but lacks a bit of variation.

As to the quality of mods, it really depends on who made what. Some mods are of exceptional quality, sometimes even better than what Bethsoft could do, while others are of a much lower quality, and look like they were tossed together in 5 seconds by a 10 year old with ADD. Just look at the comments and screenshots, and you should be able to tell what is and is not worth playing.
