sayreg Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 (edited) TL;DR My Custom anklet bracelet is visible in 3rd person ONLY when I look down from above. It is invisible when I look straight at it (parallel to the floor). So I’ve been teaching myself the Creation Kit, Outfit Studio, and NifSkope. All for the purpose of fixing/converting armor meshes, doing armor mashups, and adding custom gear. I’ve gotten competent at armors/clothes (editing meshes, ensuring the weight slider works, fixing animation weights, adding custom clothes through the CK), so now I want to try a custom footwear item. I’m making a simple ankle bracelet on bare-feet to start. Got my foot mesh combined with a basic vanilla circlet in Outfit Studio. Did all the testing in Nifskope to make sure its lined up, got the Creation Kit custom item stuff sorted. I can spawn the item in game and equip it. The problem is the 3rd person view. When the camera angle is ~45 degrees above the ground or higher I can see the ankle bracelet, but when I lower the camera closer to the floor it disappears. I have the partition on the ankle bracelet set to 37_feet (in Outfit Studio, NifSkope, and the CK). I’m at a loss for troubleshooting this bug. Any and all help would be welcome. I’m still very new to modding, so please be thorough and patient in your explanations. Edit: formatting Edited November 15, 2021 by sayreg
Hanaisse Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Vanilla circlets have what's called Transforms, ie; it's not sitting at a perfect 0,0,0 origin and that's causing your issue. You can clean that up quickly in Outfit Studio by clearing the transforms.

I knew it would be some simple fix I was completely unaware of. I did this and the issue was fixed! This is probably the solution to some other problems I noticed as well. Thanks for your quick and efficient help!
