charwo
I am putting in a request for a retexture of General Oliver's Uniform to be used as a mod to the Enclave Officer. The good news is the major work is already done, but I don't know a thing about texture editing. First, let's start with the look I want:http://imageshack.us/a/img196/3093/czpf.jpg This is Dan Dastun from Big O. This is basically the look I'm looking for in the retexture: a suit and tie with a darker brown brown coat for contrast. And here's the next thing: Eisenhower Jacket, as per keeping with the 1940-60s look of the setting: http://imageshack.us/a/img812/3025/8i9t.jpg And the texture work to make this more or less a retro American uniform's been done with the SA-SS Uniform mod:http://imageshack.us/a/img850/4637/56s3.jpg Well....take off the SA collar insignia and add in the jacket. Fortunately, the jacket basics is already in the Tunnel Snakes leather jacket. All that would be needed is take out the zipper pockets and studs, palette swap to dark brown, add back in the shirt pockets from the uniform, US insignia from Chase's overcoat and possibly add an American flag to the side of the jacket. As per the cap, there's a couple of mods that have me covered Then end result will look something like this.....lore friendly and appropriately dashing for those who consider themselves America's last champions. I do need a female version to. .http://www.101airborneww2.com/Headrick.jpg Any takers?
devinpatterson
yeah might be able to pull that off, time permitting. Not calling dibs on this though, if someone else wants to tackle it, go for it....it would save me a bit of time.
charwo
And that's more than fine. In the meantime, if I could find a good tutorial on how to use gimp in these sorts of operations I might be able to do it myself. Maybe....
dangman4ever
The hardest part will probably be the jacket portion. I'll see if I can do this. EDIT: Yeah not very good with blender so removing the jacket from the tunnel snake or boomer outfits is difficult for me. devinpatterson
EDIT: Yeah not very good with blender so removing the jacket from the tunnel snake or boomer outfits is difficult for me. No worries. Want me to do the model and you do the texture? Also for the leather jacket you may want to delete the normals texture (ie the _n) to give it less of a leather material look. Might look better, might not.

charwo
From what I've seen of GIMP (which I can't figure out), I would think it would be a cut and paste of the parts of the jacket, as in take the jacket texture, cut the torso section, gut it, overlay the collar of the jacket, the part that comes together in the center and the bottom section, then recolor the parts. I don't think a remesh is necessary, although it would allow a port to Fallout 3 where it would be more useful.

We need to put a jacket over that, you'd mentioned above about using the leather jacket. I'm loading it into blender at this moment, but if you want to clarify.... devinpatterson
OK here's the male uniform. I'm going to hold off on the female version until we have some clarification from Charwo. Here is a pic with meatcaps and skeleton removed for illustration purposes; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/OliverJacket_zps14dc79f8.jpg Here is the model.
