ltknight88 Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 How about this for an idea -A "bound chest " that you can conjure and put items and weapons into, that is then accessible anywhere. You no longer have to travel home in order to unload.But -The game would store the memory of the contents some place so that if I store a weapon in the bound chest, I can then go back and load a much earlier save, open the bound chest, and the weapon would be there! You could then replay some of your earlier quests, with the enchanted gear you created toward the end of your game. Thoughts? I realize this would unballance some of the early fights, but it might also help speed up side of the more tedious aspects. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Bozzz123 Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 I know the Midas Magic Spells of Aurum used the summon chest principle back in Oblivion, so the idea is not new. It could be pretty easily done summoning the chest but I dont know about the time travel aspect of it. It could be possible but I just don't know. I don't think it is possible though because all of the items stored in the chest are part of that save but Im no expert when it comes to modding. However because the data is saved in a save file, opening a different "earlier"save wouldn't have the data you need. I think thus the time travel mechanic you want is impossible without some type of mod which saves the chest data into some other micro save file or such.
