ProjektAdrian
I modded my skyrim, everything works, BUT the Bodyslide presets. They dont load up at all in game when Im on the racemenu and click on presets. Its come to my attention that there is no SKSE folder with CharGen etcâ¦. At no point did I even know I was supposed to have a folder called that. So now Iâm left with bundles of folders that are named SKSE that lead to empty folder that also lead to other docs that I dont know what they do. Can someone please, give me a thorough rundown on how to install bodyslide again, what to delete in terms of the old bodyslide application, and what to dig through my folders for the presets to appear in game? Hanaisse
A little clarification .. Bodyslide presets and Racemenu presets are two entirely different things.Bodyslide presets are created in Bodyslide. These presets are the shape of the body only and replace the vanilla body files in game after being built. Bodyslide presets are saved in Data/CalienteTools/Bodyslide/SliderPresets folder and have nothing to do with SKSE.Racemenu presets are created in Racemenu. These presets are the look of the characters face only, created and saved in the Preset tab of Racemenu. The Racemenu presets are saved in Data/SKSE/Plugins/CharGen/Presets folder once created so they can be reloaded for other characters if you wish from the Racemenu Presets tab. Racemenu is SKSE dependant.Racemenu does not load Bodyslide presets.Bodyslide does not load Racemenu presets. When looking for Preset mods search and take note if it's for Bodyslide or for Racemenu. anjenthedog
In contrary but still in general support of @Hanaisse's post, Racemenu presets do not simply contain face data. They *may contain both face and body slider data (for instance, if you save your current character from within racemenu as a preset, it will capture any all adjustments to your face AND body). Some preset mods only contain a face, many or most more recent ones seem to contain both facial and body adjustments. (or at least in all but two of the 41 racemenu presets I've downloaded, there have been both body and facial adjustments anyway) But as Hanaisse suggests, they are different and they're stored in different locations, the one group off the bodyslide folder (/Data/Bodyslide/ - in subfolders, the other off /Data/SKSE/Plugins/CharGen/PresetThe way I view things: Bodyslide provides the foundation, Racemenu provides additional cosmetic adjustment As far as your stated problem is concerned (not being able to find bodyslide ?presets?), it's possible that IF you chose a custom installation (ie, not the bethesda default of the C drive Program Files..., Bodyslide is not configured correctly to identify the location of your bodysilde content. If so, click the Settings button in bodyslide, then the Advanced button to get to where these changes need to be made. There are many threads and YT videos on how to set up Bodyslide for custom location installations, although I have no idea myself, since I used the default installation method and that aspect has been seamless for me, so I have had no need to pursue it. One thing that *did happen initially for me is that I had installed bunch of bodyslide preset mods *before* I installed Bodyslide. Those had to be uninstalled and then reinstalled *after* bodyslide was installed, in order to be properly recognized by Bodyslide. So if that happens to sound familiar, you could do what I did and see if that improves your situation. If not, don't bother. if they were installed after bodyslide, that's not the issue Edit: lastly, if it's the items you're not finding (Body/outfit), then click the search icon and select some items for display in that field. Push come shove, visit the Bodyslide page and use its tutorials.
