Straighthate
Hello everyone! Welcome to project Co-op. Me and a few friends (Local) were thinking about Oblivion mods. Now, I know this is a common thread and or topic, so I am going to lay it on the line. I run servers for a lot of multiplayer games but most of the time the games that I make private servers on are usually multiplayer games. I was wondering if anyone had any chance with this topic. (Getting Oblivion to be a 4 player mulitplayer co-op game) And does anyone have any ideas to have we could get the mod management to be the same so that we don't get people with different mods and ruin the time for everyone else. (Cheaters) Excuse the english. :thanks:
Vagrant0
May not want to discuss such things openly... Just a hint. Anyway, the Online and multiplayer projects for Oblivion are rather limited, buggy, and don't work too well. About the most that they are capable of doing is making a character appear in the same location in one game as the player is in another. There is very little else as far as statistics, equipment, or activity which is also shared. And due to the way that the game needs to make the world static, the online projects are not compatible with most mods. You'd literally get better synchronization by having two people sitting near eachother with separate games, and explaining what they are doing to eachother. Just because the capability exists does not mean that it is practical in any form.
Straighthate
Sorry I realize now this is not a Halo 3 modding forum. I will get friends from Halomods.com to help me. Thanks for the comment. =)
