filtopz
I am looking for a mod that would add (maybe a hot keyed option using fose) a diary/journal/notepad, function to the game. With the fallout 3 world being so vast, with so many places to discover, and rediscover, i find it some what strange that there is no way in game, to note down places of interest. Places that you need to go back to, certain doorways that can now be opened because skill level is high enuff, even which vendors are giving you the best prices for certain items.......... Not sure if this can be done, but i think it would greatly add to my R.P experience. :thanks:
Cipscis
At the moment this isn't possible, as FOSE doesn't yet provide the required functionality. String variables are planned as a major feature of FOSE v2, so this might become possible with its release. Such a Mod has been made for Oblivion, but it relies heavily on OBSE, which is much further along that FOSE. Cipscis

I've been trying to find a journal/writing mod for it for a long time with no success. If you have a link I'll be eternally grateful. But back to the topic, I think this was be a great idea for RPing. But like Cipscis said, it can't be done at the moment.
CityBuilder
I too was hoping to find such a mod as theres lots of places in the game world that I will want to revisit when I have the attributes to do something there, and could really use an in-game recorder to jot down my notes, coordinates etc. Oh well, perhaps one day this will happen, hopefully before Im bored of playing FO3 though. Well until the day that a In game notepad comes available, i guess the old spiral will still be here :)
CityBuilder
Well until the day that a In game notepad comes available, i guess the old spiral will still be here :) Hahahahahahaha, touche! I keep saying that I'll keep a game journal next to my keyboard for occasions like this and have been saying it for years now, I use to actually do it back in the earlier days of gaming (like back when Nox was first released) but even though I keep saying I'll go back to doing this, I've yet to actually do so. It was a real boonday for me when I found a mod for WOW that allowed me to keep notes on whatever I wanted to, and it automatically entered other data for me like coordinates, I made really good use of this and had extensive notes on everything, and everybody. I guess Im just rather suprised that developers havn't made full use of an in game note keeper for games like this amongst many others. //CB heads off to the store to buy a new spiral pad. (Maybe)

(Maybe) Haha I have been Keeping a Game journal for every game i play since back in '97 when UO first came out. It was necessary for all the Monster locations i used for training as well as listing of good stealing and Murder locations for my Thief and Murderous Tinker, so i got into the habit deep although it would be really nice to have the ingame one as well so i can keep a separate log for each different character much easier
filtopz
This is the main reason i want this type of mod..........i kept loosing my pieces of really important scrap paper, now make sure after each session, i transfer my notes into 'notepad' then save under the name of what ever game i am playing.I had a look at the one for oblivion (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21365), something along these line would be excellent once FOSE has the ability.until then back to my scrap paper
