drithius
My sanity is at an end, I don't know what else to try! When I look at certain indoor objects (wooden shelves, sofas, books), there will be a very brief overlay of red or greenish tinge on the edges. This only lasts for maybe 1/4 second as I change my viewpoint - it's incredibly distracting! I've tried:Uninstalling all mods Deleting and resetting my ini files Deleting directory and redownloading from Steam Updating Video drivers to Nvidia 306.97, 320.49, 326.19, 326.41 (the last two being beta) Doing a Windows Update Turning off AA/AF/Shadows in the launcher All to no avail. I don't know what else to do; i've run the game perfectly in the past, albeit on an ATI card. Does anyone have an idea?
luthienanarion
It would greatly help to see some screenshots of this.
drithius
I've taken many a picture. Initially, I couldn't get a shot and assumed that because of the problem's brief window of existance upon moving that I was simply missing the opportunity to get a picture. However, the problem has grown steadily worse and is no longer simply limited to changing the camera viewpoint; I now have a red/green tinge to many objects even when not moving, though not as bad as it is when moving. So, getting to the point, not only do I not initially see these distortions in screenshots but, as per this older post, if I move the picture around in Windows, I can see the same effect. This tells me that it's not a game problem but either a driver or hardware problem. As noted, I've tried a half dozen driver packages, so I'm fearing the hardware side of things now... Sunny Florida my butt, this lightning for months on end likely caused the issue. Edit: I tried switching PCIe slots today to no effect. It'd also been close to a year since I last installed WIndows, so took this opportunity to do so as well (with realistic expectations of it doing nothing for my problems). Well it did!?? Reinstalling Windows seems to have cleared it up. I am flabbergasted; I thought for sure it was a hardware problem given how its gotten progressively and markedly worse the past few days.
