BSA Packing

After installing a lot of mods that add textures, meshes, and sounds to the game (like FOOK and MMM) I've noticed a big performance hit, mainly in the way of stuttering and combat lag.

 

I was wondering if packing these files into a BSA like the original game files would speed it up a bit (especially the sounds, sometimes my sounds wont play and I get really laggy until it plays like 30 seconds later...).

 

I'm not really sure what the BSA do and why Bethesda loves them so much, but if they will speed things up a bit, I'm willing to take the time to repack them. (And yes, I do know how to pack them)
