drnate29
I recently loaded two mods, "Better Vampire Lord Transformation" and "Vampire Lords can Loot and Activate". Immediately after loading them my game CTD's on Start-up. I subsequently uninstalled both files and the game still CTD's on Start-up. I've been playing Skyrim for over 250 hours with no problems. I've had Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn DLC's loaded from the beginning. I have a number of other Steam and Nexus Mod mods loaded as well, but they never gave me any problems. I looked at the forums for these two mods, as well as the descriptions, and there is nothing about this kind of problem. I used NMM to install and uninstall the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Edited August 17, 2013 by drnate29
pheo3309
Did you remove the script files that they came with as well?
drnate29
The only thing I did was uninstall the file via NMM. That leaves it with the red "X" next to the file on the NMM dashboard instead of the Green Checkmark, NMM said it was uninstalled. Is there another step I need to do? pheo3309
I would download those two manually and look in the archive for the scripts. Then cross check and see if the scripts are still in your Data\Scripts folder. Though I don't know why these would effect startup. What other mods have you downloaded as of recent other than those two? Do any of your mods require SKSE?
drnate29
Thanks Pheo, for some reason the game started working. I imagine the problem might crop up again. If so, I'll take your advice!
