ZA Safe Zones

This may or may not be the wrong place to post this, but I am currently creating a mod for Zulufoxtrot's Zombie Apocalypse called ZA Safe Zones. I only have a small amount of experience with the Geck but I am learning pretty fast. I am mainly creating this mod for my personal use but I thought I would mention it to see if anyone will be interested, If so I will upload it eventually. How large this mod is going to get I am not sure but these are the basics for now.

  • Clean up spawn points in major locations (Goodsprings etc not all enemy faction locations).
  • Add turrets to the boundaries of towns to keep the majority of zombies out, although allow some chance for sneak ins.
  • Create some immersion (e.g NPC Survivor Population, Factions).
  • Possibly create a quest to to allow a zombie hunting follower group to join you.
  • Add some interior spawns (e.g abandoned locations)
  • Possibly give the game a more eerie look (although this can be done with a simple enb palette)

I will come up with some more ideas along the way. I am not trying to defeat the object of this mod. The original author did a great job and there will still be zombies in most places outside of towns. The object of this is to hopefully create some realism.

Now for a question for more advanced modders (which may be an ongoing thing during this). How would I make NPC's ignore zombies? If I add them as an ally faction they wouldn't fight when attacked (that is even if they attack to begin with). This is for a scenario where an area is protected by a turret so the NPC's don't attack zombies that are being dealt with by the turrets. The only time an NPC should attack is when a zombie passes into the town, passed the turrets or if they are a wanderer/trader.
