UfaManRussian
Hello everyone. I have a problem with the game.I'm trying to start the Honest Hearts DLC. I enter the Northern Passage and all NPCs (and my character) are stuck together in one spot and can't move in any direction. I even disabled every one of them using the console, but my character still can't leave the spot. Running animation is played, but the character won't move anywhere, it is also impossible to jump, jumping looks as if I hit the ceiling. I also had similar problem in the REPCONN HQ, first my frame rate was very low, so I decided to disable a mod (Interior Lightning Overhaul) and next time I loaded I had the same exact glitch as I have now, only that time not only NPCs (robots) were stuck in place, but all the clutter objects in the building were there too. The glitch (and framerate issues) was gone when I enabled ILO back. Now I've disabled almost every mod trying to fix this, except Mission Mojave Ultimate Edition and MMUE+ because the game crashes when I load my game with MMUE+ disabled. I run the game using 4GB launcher for NMC's textures. And I cleaned the DLCs' master files using FNVEdit.Help would be appreciated. EDIT: Wow, I really shouldn't have cleaned the DLC master files... Got original files from a friend, replaced the cleaned ones and the glitch is no more. Won't follow BOSS' advice again! Gothik
Yeah, I just hit the same bug and tried disabling everything, changed load order etc. Restored original non cleaned esm file and all was well. Might replace all the others too.
luthienanarion
Don't "clean" anything that's not a Skyrim plugin. You're not going to fix anything.
bben46
Having the ability to clean mods is a wonderful tool - but like any tool it can be overused or used when it's not the appropriate tool for the problem. My recommendation - Only clean mods if you actually see a problem. "If it ain't broke - Don't fix it." Most 'dirty edits' will not affect the game one way or another, and removing them will not magically fix something that is not broken. The purpose of cleaning dirty edits is to fix those very few that do affect the game. Then, always make a backup first.
