DarkMoon274
Hey everybody, first time on this forum with a really dumb Creation Kit question. So I set up a script that is literally just supposed to cast a spell on themselves when the player enters combat. The script compiles and works just fine (I get a message box on effect start and my actor values are modified), but whenever I try to edit my properties, the player reference saves just fine, but the spell removes itself from the property the moment I close the editor. I've deleted and added the property back multiple ways, saving every time afterwards, but the property never stays attached to my spell. After a while and some aid, I set using xEdit instead of CK, and while the CK finally saved the property, the spell wouldn't cast. To test the script, I changed the property from my spell to Oakflesh, spell activated flawlessly. So what happens when I try to change the property back from Oakflesh to my spell (or literally any other spell for that matter, like Night Eye or Close Wounds)? Every single time I leave the property editor, again, the property just changes back to Oakflesh! I see no one else online with even remotely the same problem, I've tried reinstalling the CK and deleting/redoing the script and properties, but literally nothing has worked. Please help! Dromundas
If you are not clicking ok to close out the property window then that happens, otherwise not sure.
Dromundas
Maybe you could make a new spell and try it?
