Vagrant0
Doors can be made out of any mesh that has collision, you just need to define them. A door, regardless of what mesh is used can be linked to any other door, regardless of what mesh is used, without scripting. The advantage of doors is that it can trigger an autosave if you are moving between spaces, NPCs can path through them, and they can be setup rather quickly/easily. The disadvantage is that NPCs can path through them (usually bad with teleporters) and the exit points cannot be moved outside the CS. Activators can also be made out of any mesh, even those without a collision (but you cannot manually activate them unless they have collision), still need to be defined, but require scripting and xmarkers to function as a door or teleporter. NPCs will not path through or use an activator unless told to, will not save when moving between spaces, and can often require unique scripting for each instance where they are to be used.
