adding a dog to settlement how do i sandbox

Ok making him and adding a AI package done..

Now how do i have him freely patrol the settlement sandbox without patrol markers..

 

Do i link him to the workshop and if so how ?

 

He should sandbox in the settlement area if you added a Sandbox AI Package to him (Package template: Sandbox, Near Self, Radius 3000).

 

Or would you like him to be a "settlement guard dog"? If so, attach the WorkshopNPCScript to him, fill the script property "WorkshopParent", then you can either recruit him (just like Creation Club dogs), or call the workshop assignement function on him (AddPermanentActorToWorkshopPUBLIC) from another script.

did something similar but linked him to the center marker . He still stayed in one place unless he was chasing an enemy... Will try it your way...
