Requesting permission to update mod from inactive author

Hi, I am trying to get permission from the author of this mod to update it: Kaoses Tweaks.

 

The game which the mod was made for (Bannerlord) was recently updated and the mod no longer works on that version.

 

The author uploaded the source code on GitHub and I will be able to update it if possible.

 

I feel that this mod is crucial to gameplay and I would really like to update it.

 

However, the author seems to have been inactive for a while. Their last active date was in September 2021.

 

I have tried contacting them and I will wait 24 hours before I deem that they are no longer active on Nexus.

 

In this case, am I allowed to update the mod seeing that I am unable to get the author's permission because they are uncontactable?

 

I would appreciate it if any of the moderators can advise on this.

Modification permission

You must get permission from me before you are allowed to modify my files to improve it

 

If you cannot gain permission for any reason, then you cannot upload your alteration.

 

That includes author inactivity.

 

On a secondary note - you should expand your timescale for the definition of "inactive". Waiting 24 hours is never a reasonable period of time in a situation like this.
