A few neccessary realism changes.

I see requests like these all the time... but some things I have noticed have gone too far.

First things first...

The weapon jamming is absolutely insane... every single time I reload I get a jam.. every 10 shots (for a rifle. 3-5 for a magnum) I get a jam. I understand it's a wasteland, but the items were not even near the half way mark of being broken. Also, a slow down on the weapon breaking... I feel like I break almost 3-4 weapons every time I wander into the wastes.

 

Second,

I find it kinda odd that armors seem to morph into a smaller fitting when used for Male/Female. Maybe making different forms of the clothing.. one that is for male and another that is for female.

 

Third,

The weapon damage... I mean c'mon.. I shoot a raider 3 times in the face at point blank range with my .44 and he still seems to survive. The only thing I resorted to was cheating to get the Stranger's .44 which is WAY over powered when cheated for. (9,000 damage..)

 

Fourth,

Let's be honest... the radiation does nothing... I rarely use my RadXs and RadAways simply because I don't need to. I do not pick them up, because I don't want them/need them, and I want to be able to need them.

 

Fifth,

I have about 72 stimpaks... they sure do run out fast though when fighting in The Mall. Maybe increasing the rareness on the Stimpaks a bit.

 

Sixth,

Power Armor sucks... especially the enclave power armor. Should it not increase your stats by a landslide?

Sorry if any of these have already been made. I wasn't really in the mood to search through 20+ Realism Overhauls.

1st. You must have insane bad luck because my guns rarely jam! In fact I kinda like seeing it once in a while to remind me to repair my weapons.

 

2nd. Can't agree with you more! It should be standard in ALL games these days to have a realistic clothing system.

 

3rd. Honestly the closer you are the more damage should be dealt. How can I shoot someone in the face that many times and they survive??

 

4th. Yeah, it is kind of lame that radiation doesn't do much, BUT I have to stop you and say that small amounts of radiation take a very long time to do permanent damage. Our cell phones have a bit of radiation but we're not growing third eyes are we?

 

5th. I can never seem to find enough stimpaks.. but then again I love unarmed combat without VATS so I'm begging to be mauled by these super mutants haha.

 

6th. Yes power armor was not worth it in my opinion, for the amount of weight it takes (about 10 more than other armors) it should have a much better defense rating. Right now it is just not worth using.

 

I'd like to add a Seventh,

 

Picking up someone's body parts should be way less glitchy, I can pick up their torso and toss them around, but try and pick up a thigh chunk and it is super heavy?

 

And Eighth,

 

You should be able to pick up objects and change maps, or walk into a house, something like that. I want a wall of shame for all those raiders that failed!
