Lore info for my Mod

Hey all. I hope this is a good place to ask this, if not let me know and I'll move it.

So, I am working on a custom quest mod and need some lore help. I don't want to say to much about it to early, mind you, but it is related to the Dwemer. More specificly Kagrenac. I would like to know if Kagrenac has any related lore in TES Skyrim and if so what.

Any info will help and I think I've tapped out google, lol. Thank you all for you time, your clothes, and your motorcycle.

Thats what I was thinking. Truth be told I came into these games during Oblivion, but a lot of my friends played Morrowind and they're helping me too. I just wanted to be extra sure, ya'know? If anyone can think of anything please let me know, else I shall continue work as is.

Kagrenac is pretty much only mentioned in Morrowind as the Chief Tonal Archetect of the Dwemer, and the mastermind behind the Numidium. Based on what we know about him, he was powerful enough to even keep secrets from Dumac, king of the Dwemer. He's also the one who, ultimately, doomed the Dwemer to un-creation by using Sunder and Keeing on the Heart Of Lorkhan during the 2nd (the first being against the Nords and Wulfhearth) Battle of Red Mountain.

Other than that, we don't really know anything about him.

Nadda. Truth be told, we don't even really know what their made OUT of. Most of the work is presumably the same alloy the Dwemer used for just about everything, but Keening's blade bears a startling resemblance to Aetherium... Either that or it's some king of shaped Soul Gem.

I've heard over on the Beth Forums that it's generally assumed they were made in Kagrenac's Workshop, which is a Dwemer Ruin on the slopes of Red Mountain, but we don't have any official confirmation one way or another.

You should play through Morrowind, this is pretty much the main focus of it's main quest line, at least towards the end of it.

Also, I thought that the three 'god tools' where all crafted in the aetherium forge, and that was the original reason behind the aetherium forge's creation?

Other then that, if I remember correctly in Morrowind it mentions that he was the first Dwemer to disappear, and it's 'rumored' that his soul became infused with the heart of Lorkhan, and that all the remaining Dwemer where 'sucked' into the heart by HIM, but as it's not ACTUALLY known what happened to them, this is just a rumor. If true though, it's possible he's still out there somewhere... I personally find that more believable then them being wiped off the face of the earth by an angry god, as gods get angry at people/races pretty often in the lore, and the Dwemer would be the only ones to ever be 'punished' for it in such a drastic manner, especially considering several other gods where created through the manipulation of Lorkhan's heart, and none of them where punished.

It is also rumored that he used Lorkhan's heart as a portal to aetherium itself, but again, that's just a rumor. Really outside of what happened in Morrowind, nothing is 'proven' about this mysterious Dwemer man.

For general info, I'd suggest doing a search on Kagrenac in the TES Lore area of the official Bethesda forum. Lots of good information and interesting speculation there.

As far as Kagrenac and Skyrim, I think the closest is the "Arniel's Endeavor" quest at the Mage's College.
