Nifscope strange problem

Recommended Posts

First thing I do is open two Nifscope windows, and then I paste my custom weapon models NiTriStrips data over the original models NiTriStrips data, and for some reason its not showing what I added to the original model anymore.

Its strange, as this is how I've always done it in the past.

has anyone had a similar problem, or a solution to my problem? cause I'm dying to upload some of these models I made.

im not sure if this would be the problem or not but double check that your normals are facing outward in blender or 3ds max etc. (?)

also is it possible that its just really tiny? sometimes i load in a model and have to increase the scale quite a bit.

does the original shape just disappear once you paste over it with the new nitristrips?

ok, I just realized the real problem. (its strange)

when i duplicate the original models Nitristripes data.

its not actually duplicating properly anymore. (the duplicated part doesn't seem to be anything, just empty space)

that's why when I copy my custom model, and paste over the duplication its not showing up, I'm basically pasting over nothing.

Any ideas?

-=notes=-

I can see my 3dmax model in nifscope, just cant see it when i paste over the original.

I've double checked that the normals are facing outward.

I've double checked the scaling.

i might not understand perfectly what you are doing (its early here for me) but tell me if this is correct

you open the vanilla bat, then paste the nails into the nif, then you duplicate the nails and thats when stuff disappears? or is it that you are duplicating the bat? if so, im not entirely sure why you need to duplicate the bat after you already have the nails in it. sorry if im just not getting it maybe i need to wake up more first. im also not quite sure what you have selected in the 4th pic.
