AnarkyzmA
I've tried to make reflective textures similar to this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/1...-1190663188.jpg However, it seems that the oblivion method does not work for fallout 3, does anybody know of a way to make similar textures for fallout 3? The SH0CKER
Its looks like the model has a low opacity rather than a texture with an enviroment map  Anyway it just doesn't look like a reflective material. Whats reflected should be tinted more to the colour of the material, then distorted/blurred, all while clearly being able to still see what the object is made out of ( Attached image ) To answer your question, I loosely remember seeing a texture with _env or _enm suffix on one of the weapons but I wouldn't know how to implement them. Considering i've never seen a Fallout 3 reflective texture used in the game I wonder whether Bethesda has even included it.
AnarkyzmA
Thanks for your reply. And, yeah, I'm not sure whether Bethesda has included it in Fallout 3, it doesn't look like it =[
shaikujin
I was looking for articles on making shiny metallics too, and found this article: http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=58451 Hopefully it helps. Also, I did achieve a shiny effect once when I incorrectly modified the path of the normal and diffuse maps in a certain nif to point to a normal (ie 2 normals, no diffuse). Some areas were really shiny/glossy. But some other areas looks patchy.
