Pearlpalkia1
Hello. I've been trying to play Skyrim in Compatibility mode, only problem is that I get a blue windows 7/Vista classic theme border, I have tried to run it in Vista, and XP doesn't seem to run at all. I have tried the No Border program, sadly it doesn't work, and I need it turn run in compatibility mode to stop the CTD I've been having. I also updated my drivers and such. rhowington
Skyrim runs fine with Windows 8. Why are you running in compatibility mode?

Why are you running in compatibility mode?Like I said, I'm getting random CTDs, before I upgraded to Windows 8, Skyrim worked like an angel and never crashed. rhowington
I would reinstall Skyrim under Windows 8 if you haven't already. Or at least verify your Steam cache. Actually, (and I run my mod testing system under Win 7) I find Skyrim more stable under Windows 8 and I was one of the big Win 8 haters during RT testing. Pearlpalkia1
Found a way to fix the blue border, and I'll be happy to tell everyone how I fixed it. Download this mod and install it like normal.Run SKSE.No border! Enjoy playing! And also Skyrim hasn't crashed a single time when I used Compatibility mode for Windows 7.
