Infiltrator84
I got the legendary edition of skyrim, and tried the legendary difficulty. To my dismay, the way they artificially tried to make the game harder by just scaling the damage again almost made me vomit. So I saw requiem, it really interested me, but I did get somewhat intimidated by it, even for someone who's played Baldur's Gate (1&2), PS:Torment, Deus Ex, Thief and Thief 2 (author made some refernces there) Stalker with Misery mod. Do you think it's too masochistic compared to what I've listed? Or is it just to scare off the bulk of today's gaming populace? I was also planning to go with a Dunmer Assassin/Thief, possibly going for the thief guild frist since the author mentioned loot isn't levelled (so I don't have to wait to lvl 46 to start the quest line). But then I realized, if I'm playing a sneaky character with a crossbow and daggers, how am I supposed to deal with a myriad of opponents that are supposedly immune to it, like dwemer automations - immune to arrows, no sneak attacks.. am I to stab it to death? :P Anyway, tips are appreciated! neoshin16
Oh Requiem...many god memories with you. This mod is fantastic, but prepare yourself to have an extremely difficult time at lvl 1. Bleak Fall Barrows, the 1st quest essentially everyone does, is near impossible. It took me like 6 hours just to run through it. Once you get you rolling though into lvls 10-15, then things start to get a tad easier, not really easy, but easier than impossible is still nearly impossible. Its a great mod, i highly recommend it. Have fun.
SkoomaBoy
Yes, you should really get it. Requiem became my personal standard, It doesn't especially take an "Old School Role-player" to enjoy it, I'm not one. I'd say it overhauls the game in something totally harder, but realistic and way more rewarding. I recommend you use Realistic Needs and Diseases, Hunterborn, Frostfall and Wet and Cold alongside. (Thought see the load-order recommendations in the Requiem readme found on the Nexus Page) I recommend you use Ultimate Combat aswell, but load it before Requiem. Dynamic Things is an interesting mod to add because it allows the player to level combat skills on mannequins, which can be useful during the early game.
