lights working in geck but not in game

Hey everybody, have a small problem. Recently spent a couple days editing a npc home into one for my character. Did things like add posters clean water sources etc. I also added more lights to give it a better feel. After saving the plugin I started up new Vegas and entered my house. It is completely unlit, even the windows are dark. I've reloaded tried refreshing the lights in geck with f5 and saved, really don't know what else to try. Any help is appreciated, it's not a game breaker or anything but I'd like to fix it.
