DarkSpyda04
http://i897.photobucket.com/albums/ac172/DarkSpydaIV/nolight_zpsb0875737.png I modeled a simple object in 3Ds Max 2011 64-Bit, exported as an .NIF file with collision, tested the model out - appears in game and collision works but unlike every other object the game world, my custom model cannot be lit by a light. Anyone heard of this problem before?
sundabar21
It happened to me with blender. I have to recalculate normals outside.
IkeCoast
Sometimes, using the NifSkope function "Face Normals" fixes this issue, but not always. Besides, every time I have inverted normals in a blend mesh, it appears with invisible portions where the flipped normals are, not light-insensitive. I don't know about 3Ds Max, but usually, when exporting to Nif, Blender creates a duplicate of the mesh, without material settings. Check that you sanitized your new nif file once exported from 3Ds Max (no duplicate NiTri object, and Update All Tangent Spaces). Cheers!
