Fook and MMM in Fallout 3, texture glitches galore, any ideas? ^_^;

Recommended Posts

Hey, I recently got a copy of F03 for my PC, because I wanted to toy around with some mods, I found FOOK and Mart's mutant mod to be the most interesting, though I have a few problems with weapons, and some NPCS appearing...glitchy. Such as..the pipe rifle, needlegun, most of the revolver type weapons I have seen, as well, use the vault 101 security armor texture (which is the armor I have equipped.)

Many monsters, like mole rats seem to use a street/concrete texture, and the custom raider armor does not load correctly, or at all. o.o;;

My computer specs are

BFG Nvidia 7600GS graphics card (512 MB AGP card)

2 GB RAM (800Mhz clock speed)

2.2 GHZ dual core AMD processor

The game is located on a 500GB SATA, and I am running windows XP.

I used archive invalidation, and the fallout mod manager to launch fallout, I am running the game on mostly the lowest graphical settings as well.

My mod order is as follows.

Fallout3.esm

Slower Levelling - slower.esp

CALIBR.esm

FOOK.esm

FOOK.esp

FOOK - Balance Changes.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod.esm

Mart's Mutant Mod.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Increased Spawns.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Tougher Traders.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Hiunting & Looting.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Zones Respawn.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - No Corpse Flies.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - No Geckos.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - FOOK.esp

I extracted the mods to my data folder, as the readmes instructed, and organized the mods in the manager as best I could as per the instructions.

My FOOK is version 1.2, I only installed the patch, because the 1.3b made the game even glitchier.

Anyone have any ideas, or need more info to diagnose?

Try the manual version of ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated.

Also make sure "bInvalidateOlderFiles=" is set to 1 in:

My Documents - My Games - Fallout3 - Fallout / FalloutPrefs (I can't remember which of those two files needs to have it set, but it doesn't hurt to just set both).

If further problems persist make sure you have the texture files that came with those mods in the right folders.

Also try turning off all your mods and activating them one by one (testing it each time in game) as it might be a mod confliction.
