Tuan
Hi, is there a way that npcs regenerate health in combat? I've tried the "Regen HP in Combat" checkbox in the CK but that doesn't seem to work as expected. For Example: NordRace has a healrate of 0.7 and the checkbox for HP regen checked. Ysolda has a healrate of 0.7 as expected, Hulda (The Innkeeper in Whiterun) has 0.0. Do i miss something or is there really no way to let all NPC in Skyrim regenerate their HP in combat? jordan7890
The only thing I can think of is to try using console commands to create an enchanted item with an insane amount of health-regen and how that affects them. (Obviously you'll have to use console to equip it on them)
Tuan
Oh, i could do a "setav healrate X" on the particular npc. But it is a bit of an immersion breaker to fiddle with the console everytime i encounter an npc.Btw. it seems that these problems only occur with humanoids.I can spawn skeever, chaurus or cows and they all have the in combat regen. But nothing so far with bandits or forsworn...
tsimon08
Your interest in this might have passed years ago, but the answer seems to be that any race marked with "playable" ignores HP regen in combat, except for the player and followers. If you play a somewhat rare race, say wood elf, you can very cheaply get most of what you want by making all other races not playable. If you want to play a Nord, I suspect you have to make a carbon copy of the Nord race for you to play as, while making the default Nord not playable. This will grant the HP regen effect to all the Nord NPCs in the game and still let you play a Nord-like character. This might spoil dialog responses that depend on being a native vs. outlander. Some brave soul might also try marking their race "unplayable", after already starting a game. I have not tried this yet.
