Lure Of Flames is a path in Thaumaturgy, similar to Evocation. It specializes in the use of vitae to produce fire.. for lighting candles or blowing up cars. As to the rest it is possible to leave your clan, it just means you no longer socialize with them or take orders from them. Basically he went renegade, he didn't approve of the House becoming Kindred but he was forced to nonetheless, which is why he left. I stuck the bounty thing in there to add some story since I am having a hard time writing a convincing story for the character. i'll rewrite the story...once I can find out what I am going to change it to...

 

Also, wanted to add that he was in House Tremere before it became a Kindred Clan. He wasn't one of those that performed the ritual because he staunchly disapproved of it, at the time he was only 100 years old so he wasn't more then a Neophyte at the time. Barely out of his apprentice shoes and on his way to being a full blown Warlock. That was when the Turning happened and he was embraced.. then he left. So his actual age is 700. Mind you when I wrote this character sheet I was tired... had been working for 12 hours doing fetch and carry for my client so my brain was kinda inactive.

PERSONALITY:

General Personality Traits: Evan is very polite and receiving of his friends. He tends to be pretty apathetic to a lot of things that don't concern him which may not always be the best to his advantage. He sees his fame, especially among the Kindred, as well earned and fought for and is very prideful of it.

For those who don't like his music, he usually cares very little for. Evan goes for a sort of avant-garde type of musical style, with heavy usages of electronic sounds (basically, think Lady Gaga meets Blutengel meets Little Boots meets Diana Vickers)

Fears: True Death, the loss of his talents, insects, arachnids

Attitudes towards friends/strangers: Friendly to friends and polite to most strangers.

Opinion on the world: The world is a dangerous place but the danger is what makes it unique.

HISTORY:

Past: Born in late 20s, Evan was a rather normal city boy in Reading. He studied in school as a proper school boy and was planning to become some kind of profession he never really wanted to become. He was known to be quite attractive and charming with a good bit of wit to keep him interesting. Most of his classmates were put off by him somewhat for his habit of subtly flirting with his male classmates. He didn't really mind though, he did have his few friends.

 

On thing he was really well known for, however, was his ability to sing. He has an impressive vocal range and tone quality that stunned many hearing his performances in the school's choir program.

 

World War II came fast and; Evan had the unfortunate luck of being in London at the time of the bombings for a choir performance. On a rehearsal day in an opera house, bombs were dropped heavily in the area of London he and his fellow singers were practicing in. Evan and his fellow choimates didn't make it to safety in time when the bombs hit the opera house. All he remembers of that time was a deafening boom, a flash and being knocked back severely.

 

When he came to, Evan found that he had been impaled by a fallen pole through his abdomen, to the right. Lying there dying in agony, Evan was approached by a mysterious woman with thick red hair and nigh-chalk white skin. She looked down at him in pity and knelt to him and whispered: "Your voice will live forever more for I cannot allow such a supernal gift be extinguished this night."

 

And with that, Evan's life as a vampire began. He learned much of his bloodline, the Daughters (and Sons) of Cacophony- a bloodline of vampiric singers who could influences the emotions of mortals with their powerful songs, and of the world of the Kindred. Soon after the way, Elizabeth, his sire, introduced him to the world of music. He was a prodigy in the arts of the voice. Evan commanded the stage as if he was born to it and let his voice flow and captivate his audience.

 

As the decades wore on, Evan only increased in his skill. The music scene evolved and so did he. Evan found himself really captivated by electronic sounds, especially if they were put to a dance beat. He was also drawn to abstract and symbolic ways of expression as well as very deep and philosophical ways. Thus, he began to evolve his music style to that of synthepop, known today as electropop, flavoured with darker, slightly gothic sounds, but remaining flexible enough to not make it all sound the same and avoiding being labeled fully as gothic.

 

Tonight, Evan is a famous pop star who is well known for his avant-garde and deep music, but also for being exceedingly private.....which includes not going out during the day time very much.

So who taught him the lure of the flames? If he has nothing to do with the Tremere anymore who could have taught him it? Paths have to be taught by a mentor after all and only Vampires can use Thaumaturgy so he couldn't have possibly learned it before his embrace. I'm not saying you can't have it, it just doesn't make any sense with your character's history.

 

As far as him not having anything to do with his clan.. whatever, he can go out of his way to avoid them, but loose the bounty or he WILL die early on. No one will help him and you'll be stuck with a character that's completely by himself. Also.. what you added makes no sense what so ever. The Tremere were a Vampire clan way before the 1300s so your character couldn't have been around then. He can be 600 years old sure, but there at the start of the clan? No. So to be blunt, the entire history needs to be scrapped.

 

 

And AtlmerLover, just one question, With him being famous for so long, how has he kept his condition a secret? Someone would have noticed that he hasn't aged all this time even if he is super private.

Voice: Slightly high, typical of a young girl. American accent.

General Personality Traits: Mostly quiet, likes to play alone but will not shy from asking others to play with her. Obedient and believes in being "good" whenever it applies. HISTORY:

Past: Ivy was found newly-embraced by a human who recognized what she was; she was kept chained in his basement and researched on quite cruelly for what felt to her like weeks, but was possibly only days, before other vampires killed the man and took her in. Luckily, either nobody believed that this man had a vampire in his home, or he was waiting to find some sort of scientific reasoning behind what she was before he released information. Ivy is currently being kept by the Prince for publicity reasons, teaching her the ways of the kindred.

Embrace: Got lost during a trip to London with her family, and was embraced by an unknown vampire on the first night.
